The Yacht Inspired by a Supercar: One of the First Lamborghini Boats for Sale
Crossover between the performance car and high-end boat worlds is natural. Both represent elegant blends of form and function. Both feature powerful engines and cutting-edge technology. And both are right at home in the world’s most scenic locales. One of the most recent and extreme examples of car and boat crossover is an official collaboration between The Italian Sea Group and Lamborghini. One of the first of these Lamborghini boats is now available for sale on JamesEdition.

The Automotive Theme
Called the Tecnomar for Lamborghini LY 63, the Lamborghini boat is named for the Sant’Agata Bolognese-based carmaker’s founding year of 1963, but the number also represents the boat’s length (63 feet) and its production run (only 63 will be made). UFC fighter Conor McGregor has reportedly already bought the 12th of the 63.
Created with input from Lamborghini’s Centro Stile, the boat’s hull was designed by a team of naval engineers and its shape takes inspiration from the Sián FKP 37 hybrid but also features hints of Marcello Gandini-designed classics like the Miura and Countach. Other Lamborghini styling cues like hexagonal shapes and Y-motifs distinguish the interior, and the rakish hardtop was inspired by Lamborghini’s current range of roadsters.
The automotive theme extends to the area underneath that hardtop, where the steering wheel, gauge cluster, and seats look almost like they were pulled straight out of a Lamborghini. The instrument panel integrates all navigation and control system as well.
Configurations and Interior Design
Three basic configurations of the Tecnomar for Lamborghini yacht are available.
The “Lounge Version,” is an open space concept with lounge sofas and wardropbe as well as a private bathroom for the owner. The “One Cabin Version” has the galley divided by the bow area, obtaining a king size bed from the bow sofa. The forward cabin, meanwhile, gets large open spaces and a dedicated owner bathroom. The “Two Cabin Version” has two independent cabins, with the master cabin at the bow with a king size bed and the guest cabin designed with friends in mind and given two single beds that can join together in a single king size.
Colors and materials are all customizable through Lamborghini’s personalization program, called Ad Personam, and the extensive options list includes an underwater light, radar, special paint, bulwarks windscreen, post aft awning, exterior bar (sink, icemaker, refrigerator), backlighting for the boat name, carbon-look steering wheel, electric external tables, custom embroidery, and a stern thruster.
The Tecnomar’s designers used as much carbon fiber as possible in the structure to keep the boat’s maximum weight at 24 tons. As for power, the Tecnomar features not one but two 24-liter MAN V-12 twin-turbo diesel engines. Each is good for 2000 horsepower (4000 total), which allows the boat to reach a 60-knot top speed. According to Tecnomar, it’s the “highest power output on the market.” The engines are fired up via a button start (one button for each engine) taken straight from Lamborghini.
Price
The Tecnomar’s price is listed at €3,000,000, and one of the first of these Lambo yachts is listed for sale on JamesEdition, available through a Lamborghini car dealer based in Southern Florida. With a production run of barely six-dozen worldwide, it’s almost certain you’d have the only Lamborghini boat in the marina.
